On May 27, 2011 the artists were invited to participate in a panel discussion at The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. The panel was the third such conversation presented as part of the "Shop Talk" series. Each panel sought to evaluate the ways artists restructure and recondition the art markets. Fletcher and Reichert were asked to present on the topic “the economic realities of being an artist.”
For the 20 minutes granted at the beginning of the discussion, Fletcher and Reichert presented evidence that suggests art has lost a utilitarian component that has contributed to an economic inefficiency in the pricing of post world war II and contemporary works of art.
